Figure skates have a longer blade and a toe pick at the front, while hockey skates have a shorter blade and no toe pick. Figure skates are designed for jumps and spins, while hockey skates are designed for quick turns and stops.


It's recommended to sharpen your ice skates after every 10  hour or twice in a 20 week session. However, it also depends on the intensity and frequency of your skating.


It's recommended to wear warm and comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, such as leggings, sweatpants, and a sweater or jacket. Don't forget gloves, a hat, and a scarf to keep you warm!
